After Rhea the Adventures of Quella

There I was minding my own business, playing with my brothers and sisters, when we were all taken on a trip.  Now this was good, something exciting for a change. We had a lot of people looking at us, and if I might say prodding and poking us, but they were very nice, and told us we were going to a new home - what was wrong with the other one I wanted to know - but none of the others were making a fuss so I thought I had better not let the side down.

After a couple of days I was taken for another trip, and this time I met the people who lived at my new home, they are called Mary and Keith, (I will call them Mum and Dad - it sounds nicer), but hang on, there was someone else   living there too, another dog, bigger and a      different colour than me, she was called Rhea, at least I won't be on my own then!

I found out that I had my own crate and Rhea had her own bed, but at least we were in the same room together at night, which was nice as I was used to having all my family with me. After everyone had had breakfast I used to get into Rhea's bed with her for a nap, she didn't mind, she was all cuddly and warm. It reminded me of when I was at my other Mum's house, and my natural mother, Shandy with all my brothers and sisters.

Rhea and I used to play a lot, but Mum had to keep reminding her that I was only a baby and needed my beauty sleep.  Apparently they said I was very pretty, so obviously the sleep thing was important as I didn't want to look old before my time!

One day they all went out, not me, but that was ok they had done that before, but when they came back, Rhea was not with them. Hello, I thought what's going on here? Mum and Dad said that she had gone 'back' to Leamington, to further her education!  They said this was what would happen to me when I became a big girl, and not to worry as all my brothers and sisters were going to be doing the same thing, and hopefully be a Guide Dog, for Mums and Dads that can't see.  It was ok, I could handle that, but I did miss Rhea, and I know Mum and Dad did, because I saw them crying at odd times.

Well life went on, there was always something that Dad was doing, Mum often said 'Do you have to do that now?' and Dad would say 'If I don't do it now it won't get done'.  Then the noise would start banging, sawing, drilling, - see, Dad is very good at DIY, Mum said 'he's a perfectionist that's the problem'. I often tried to
