in 2006. If she reads this she will be thinking, how on earth? Six foot fencing all around, good gates, no, not possible, unless the family forgot to close the gate??!! well no.........he jumped the four foot fence onto the compost heap, the compost is the same height as the fence, which made the six foot fence on the other side of the compost into our neighbours garden two feet. He then jumped over this with ease. It took us a while to get him back, you know, knock, knock the neighbours door, explain etc, etc and no sooner he was back, he did it again! How did we stop him - 8 foot bean poles and strawberry netting to extend the four foot fence to eight feet. Not very pretty but it works, oh and then he spent the rest of the day nursing his feet because our neighbours were growing stinging nettles where he landed. Anyway I digress, I laterally think you know, one thing leads to another and before you know it I can't remember how I got from Jill's kitchen floor to stinging nettles. No, it's not old age its lateral thinking!
We were sat in the lounge at Jill's. She was sat on the floor with Yuri, who was stretched out beside her for what seemed hours, stroking him and cuddling him and talking to him quietly, just daydreaming, a very private moment. When I was leaving, Tom her 21 year old son said his goodbyes and then added in all seriousness 'can you forget to take Yuri home' Oh, they must get a dog, I am hoping they will volunteer for guide dogs. I know Peter and she had discussed possibly puppy walking before he died. If she lived closer she would be a brilliant boarder for weekends and holidays etc.,
