Dear Readers

Once again thank you for a great response to my request for articles for Puppytails, and
particularly so this time as I was able to get most of this edition ready before I went on holiday during September so saving me burning the mid night oil during the week before the print
deadline. I can't stress enough how it helps me to have the articles as early as possible.
Don't forget if you leave it to the last minute you run the risk of there not being enough room for your article.
So please keep those great article coming
especially if you have never written one before.

June and I have been pupless since Alfie went into training at the end of March and it has been very strange in our house without a dog, the first time for 35 years. The shopping trips have been really boring as no one has spoken to us and we have been in and out of Tesco in 20 minutes as opposed to the usual hour. But we had promised our selves a break to recharge our batteries after having 11 pups without a break.
We have managed to fit in a wonderful trip to Peru and 3 weeks on the canals but I am afraid the decorating we promised we would do has not come to fruition.

On the first Friday of July we went to see Aflie working in Leamington with his trainer Janine Woods and were thrilled with the way he
performed with her. It was the last chance we had to see him because on the following
Monday he was off to Southampton for his

Alfie with Janine during a training session.

advanced training. Initial reports from
Southampton are good and we have our fingers crossed that he will make the grade. Our thanks go to Janine and the Borders who looked after him whilst he was at Leamington.

Please keep those article coming in as without them Puppytails will go the way that most other local newsletters have gone and will be sadly missed by everyone.
